Small coves

The south of France, and particularly the Cote d’Azur, is full of small coves and calanques, which are much less frequented than the better-known beaches. Often hidden away, they are the jewels in the crown of the Borméen and Lavandour basins. You can visit the Jean Blanc beach, also known as “l’écrin d’argent” (the silver jewel case) because of its white sand and exceptional setting, or the wild and unspoilt Elephant beach. Don’t hesitate to ask the tourist offices or the campsite reception for directions.

Naturist beaches

Whether you’re a naturist or just worried about tan lines on your body, there are several naturist beaches close to Camp du Domaine that are among the most beautiful in the south of France and the Mediterranean.

Layet beach

The Layet beach is the perfect place to practise naturism in complete simplicity at Le Lavandou in the south of France. Also known as “Buccaneer Cove”, it’s a beautiful beach of fine sand in a discreet location. It is reached via a signposted path with a steep gradient. Head towards Saint-Tropez: the beach is around 6 kilometres from Le Lavandou town centre, before the main beach at Cavalière.

Rossignol Beach

The Rossignol beach is the perfect tribute to the song of the bird that gives it its name. On your way to this wild, hard-to-reach cove, you’ll be immersed in an intimate atmosphere where sunbathing rhymes with freedom. The Rossignol beach in the south of France, at Le Lavandou, is a veritable corner of paradise reserved exclusively for naturists.

Pets are not allowed.

The caves beach

Surrounded by creeks and located on the Levant Island, one of the three Golden Islands in the south of France opposite the campsite, naturism is compulsory on the caves beach (Plage des Grottes). Nestling in a superb little cove, delightfully shaded in places and protected by rocks covered in plants endemic to the south of France. Levant Island can be reached by boat from the port of Bormes les Mimosas or Le Lavandou, just a few minutes’ walk from the campsite.

Pampelonne beach

Pampelonne beach in Ramatuelle on the Saint Tropez peninsula is one of the most popular in the south of France. Divided into several sectors, including two dedicated to naturists, it’s the ideal place to spend a day on a lively beach in the heart of intrepid Saint Tropez.
