Family stories.
Created in 1950 by the owners of the land, the Defour family, campsite Camp du Domaine remains independent and managed by the same family to this day. In the past, this exceptional site on the Côte d’Azur was home to market gardens whose produce was destined for the Rungis market in Paris. The exceptional beauty of the site, its privileged location by the sea and word of mouth led many wild campers, both French and foreign, to come and stay here. Gradually, the site was structured with sanitary and security infrastructures: the Camp du Domaine was born. Many camping families have a special bond with the Camp du Domaine and have stayed there from generation to generation, taking advantage of the campsite’s exceptional geographical location by the sea on the Cote d’Azur.

With over 600m of coastline, the Camp du Domaine campsite is located on the seafront, with direct access to a huge sandy beach. From your campsite pitch or accommodation, you can reach the seafront in a few seconds and enjoy water sports and beach activities. The campsite faces south-east, so every morning you can admire a spectacular sunrise over the beach, with its warm colours heralding a beautiful sunny day. The seaside campsite in Provence also offers magnificent views over the sparkling turquoise waters of the Mediterranean, inviting you to swim and discover this unspoilt marine world in the heart of the French Riviera. With its two distinct beaches, the Camp du Domaine campsite is perfectly suited to couples looking for a quiet spot, but also to children and families who can enjoy themselves in complete safety. The northern part of the campsite’s beach offers a wide stretch of fine sand, giving access to a shallow natural swimming pool protected by the sea wall. It’s ideal for young children, who can have fun in the water in complete safety, although parents and the nearby first-aid post must keep an eye on them. It’s also the perfect place to play beach games such as Frisbee, in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The second, longer beach to the south is ideal for snorkelling and other water sports such as swimming, wakeboarding, jet skiing and paddle and kayak hire. With these undeniable natural assets, there’s no need for a swimming pool or water park – it’s all there.

Situated right on the beach, many of the seaside camping pitches have direct, unobstructed access to the beach, allowing you to come and go as you please in the water or on the sand. Every morning, a spectacular sunrise over the water awaits you, with the “Golden Islands” on the horizon, unspoilt treasures of the French Riviera and the Côte d’Azur. Spread over 45 hectares of pine forest, our 5-star campsite by the sea on the Cote d’Azur offers you other pitches on the hill with plunging views of the sea. One of the things that makes the Camp du Domaine campsite unique is the way its pitches are laid out, in the heart of the endemic nature of the French Riviera, in terraces facing the sea or the green hills. And it’s not just the seaside pitches that have a beautiful view of the water and the beach. Many other pitches facing the sea offer breathtaking views, for a unique camping holiday by the Mediterranean Sea on the Cote d’Azur. Almost all our camping pitches are equipped with water, electricity (10A or 16A) and grey water drainage, and can accommodate all types of installation such as caravans, motorhomes, vans or even tents. Our camping pitches feature a typical French Riviera straw hut, providing shade at all times of the day and allowing holidaymakers to set up tables, chairs and hammocks. The top-of-the-range standard of our 5-star campsite by the sea on the Cote d’Azur guarantees you spacious pitches, between 80 and 150m², with a beautiful private area, as well as space for parking your vehicle.

It’s a 5-star establishment offering a host of services and facilities to meet the needs and desires of its holidaymakers. On the catering side, you’ll find a restaurant to tempt the most discerning palates, serving exquisite regional and Provençal specialities as well as a host of other deliciously flavoured dishes. Every evening during the whole season, a pizzeria delivers pizzas made and cooked on site to your pitch or on the beach, to the delight of our gourmet holidaymakers. Finally, the Tennis Snack Bar offers a continuous service of breakfasts, snacks, burgers and salads to satisfy both small and large appetites. Families love to eat here: the nearby play areas allow parents to relax in the bar while the little ones enjoy the play areas. Sports fans will be delighted! At the crossroads of all the region’s points of interest, the campsite is ideal for exploring the land and sea routes of the Cote d’Azur. First and foremost, its seaside location means that campers can easily take advantage of the sunny beaches that line the French Riviera coastline. From the beach at Camp du Domaine itself to the hidden coves and long stretches of sand in the surrounding area, discover the stunning landscapes within easy reach of the campsite. Just a few minutes’ walk from the campsite along the seafront, take one of the shuttle boats to the Golden Islands opposite the campsite, where you’ll discover the Port Cros National Park, an unspoilt jewel of biodiversity on the Cote d’Azur. Leaving the campsite by car, visitors can explore the charming towns and villages of the French Riviera, such as Saint-Tropez, Fréjus, Bormes-les-Mimosas, Le Lavandou and Hyères. Each of these places offers its own charm, from picturesque alleyways and bustling markets to historic monuments and exotic gardens. If you’re a plant lover, don’t miss the Rayol garden, home to a host of exotic plant species in a sublime seaside setting. The Cote d’Azur is also renowned for its vineyards and wine tastings, with their typical seaside aromas carried by the wind and sand of the surrounding beaches. Numerous wine estates are located in the immediate vicinity of the campsite, with their estates on the seafront, giving you the opportunity to discover the famous wines of the Provence and why not take some home to friends after your camping holiday! Finally, don’t miss out on a walk or cycle along one of the many seaside or forest paths starting from the campsite. Between the breathtaking views of the sea and the wealth of endemic biodiversity, you won’t be disappointed!
Not tempted by the sea? Tired of a beach with sand so fine you can find it in the bottom of your bag? If you want to enjoy the fresh water of the pool, you’ll find the municipal aquatic complex in Hyères les Palmiers, just 15 km from the campsite, with indoor and outdoor pools, a swimming pool, a pool for games and diving, and other slides for the little ones. You’ll also find a water park, like Aquavillage Parc near the beach, with inflatables to climb without moderation! Approximately 1 hour’s drive from the campsite, on the Côte d’Azur, in Sainte-Maxime or Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, discover two water parks with swimming pools and slides from the national Aqualand chain, where young and old can have the time of their lives!
